About ME
Been Modding my cars since I got my license wayyyy back when I was 15 (1975). Started with the simple "reverse the air filter cover" on Mom and Dad's car. Did the quarte mile thing with a '72 Plymouth Duster. Got involved with the Sport Car enthusiasts back in the 80's. Had a '72 Ford Capri and mountain raced at Tantalus Hts. Then there was my '84 Corolla GTS, otherwise known as the Hachi Roku. Now that was a fun car! Completely modded the suspension, ran on 15" rims and RE71's 195R50-15 @ $225 per (1980's $) Bored out the throttle body, custom built an intake and ran a AFR enrichment black box. Top speed was 149mph and I could outrun Porsches on mountain roads. Did Waimea CC to Hilo Scenic Lookout in 28 minutes (no police early morning between Waimea and Laupahoehoe back then).
Okay, so I got a small addiction to speed! That's why I've never done drugs or got drunk! BTW, I used to race SCCA and attended driving school, so I am experienced in high speed driving. Never street race in traffic!
It's not speed that kills, its the inexperience of the driver. The biggest mod on a car......the driver. Get formal training and track time. Know the limits of your abilities and your car. Horsepower is nothing if you can't properly apply and handle it.

What's one thing you can't live without?
SPEED. At what age did you receive your driver's license and what was your first car? 15yo. First car was Mom's '72 Ford Torino. A soon as I got it, reversed the air cleaner cover and installed a B&M reverse valve body. Pretty fun since it was a column shift! Last 5 Blog Postings
