JayStyleR's 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier
Car Stats
Interior:
All is completely stock. My setup I want to be setup to be as light as possible and give it to true performance look. So, in time I plan on getting rid of the rear seats, custom rollcage, custom floor mats, and a race-setup for the drivers' compartment. In time, from shifter, to Momo steering wheel, gauges, etc., and a nice headunit for driving comfort. Of course, I LOVE the Sparco Morino seats so much. Exterior: I plan to stay original as I can be. The Cavalier is a really popular car seen everywhere. So, if all exterior mods will be clean, sleek, unique, and I'm going to keep it white. I will not let my secrets out just yet. Engine: 140hp 2.2L Ecotec engine (yah know, that sweet Chevy small block with a huge package of power potential) I eventually will work my way up from freeing up factory engine power and bring it out as close to 230hp naturally as possible...and then I plan to go supercharge. It will not be something done in a summer's work unless I had that money and all of the resources up front. I love the punch of superchargers so much better. Turbos are still sweet, but I want to supercharge. Suspension: Suspension and wheels, I want to be able to as close to Lotus-worthy engineering. Lotus Engineering is like my ideal performance engineering name, and I want to grace them by saying my car can handle close to yours. Well as close as I can. Lotus is too unique and successful to match. A 170-189hp transverse mid-engine mounted Toyota 2ZZGE VVTLi 4cyl that runs a 4.9second 0-60? That is incredible! Of course, it was made out of the lightest materials, and track-prepped content. The wheels? I LOVE Volk wheels, and I LOVE Advan JDM wheels. Eh, JDM wheels on a domestic...it will be done and is done. In Car Electronics: Nothing to heavy. I plan to have something cool, sounds clear, crisp, and loud enough to satisfy me. I'm not an Audio guy, so I will simply have something where I can play the cds I want and the music I want and maybe an MP3 player...with a flipup monitor...and replacement speakers....Nothing too major because I dont want all of that added weight from huge amps and stereos and HUGE DVD Navigational/MP3/CD/DVD monitor headunit like the Pioneer AVIC-N1...Something nice cool show-worthy but will not add too much weight to my car... Future Plans: As mentioned above. This will be my projected company's first project and introduction when I get my company active upon graduation. It will be slow steps at first, but the more funding I acquire the more I will do R&D till Im happy with it...or replace it with a new project. haha. I don't want crazy hp...I say, 405hp would be great...but I want it to be a daily driver...so strictly-race made parts will not be used...reliability and quick times without major hp/tq and nitrous etc etc is my dream. Im completely happy with 305hp, if I can engineer my car to run quicker times. Besides...I am a more torque guy than hp guy. Okay, so I've decided...next summer, aiming for Hahn Motorsports Stage I or Stage II turbo kit. Sweet setup! Car Comments
