About ME
20, Male, Charelston SC area... those are the important 3... uh... I guess as long as you like cars we'll get along... Doesn't hurt to know a lil bout them if ya wanna talk cars with me too. I guess I kind of stick to the grass roots side of things instead of dreaming of having the big budget. As long as it hangs in a corner well and can get up and go to some extent I like it. I'm perfectly fine with not having the best car, just gives me a way to prove I'm the better driver lol... I work for the Navy, currently going through the schooling to be a nuclear reactor operator. Since we're limited to a certain number of pics on here, you can best keep up with the progress of the cars on my cardomain, which is here: http://www.cardomain.com/id/best95neon I'll try to keep you guys up on all the big stuff here though.
Started with my Neon, was doing pretty well and wanted a car to turn into a track car, so I got the 240. Not long after that I changed jobs. Took a risk and left a steady job to be a seasonal employee at a place that was paying better but that didn't work out so I had to take the next job I could get which didn't pay well, so that's why the 240's not really made any progress. The Neon broke on the way back up to OH from VA last year so I needed something to drive and got the Civic. I decided then was a good time to swap the 2.0 SOHC motor for an '04 SRT-4 motor (2.4 dohc, turbo of course). Ended up running out of money again (it's ok, totally used to it now lol...) and ended up signing up for the Navy to keep my bills paid. That seperated me from my other 3 cars, so I was without one again, so I got my '99 Miata to take autocrossing.
Car Stats
Interior:
In excellent shape seeing as it's 10 years old. Exterior: looks even better, and a cover to make sure it stays that way for now... can't wait to move off base to a place with a garage. Eventually gonna switch to the '01-'05 front bumper and head/taillights. Engine: new dipstick to replace the old broken one, K&N filter, 10w30 Castrol GTX synthetic oil, NGK V power ZFR5F-11 copper spark plugs, gonna change other ignition parts eventually. Suspension: stock suspension & wheels, Tires are Fuzion Zri 195/50/15. Probably going to SSR Type C wheels & the stickiest tires I can find for autocross, looks like the Bridgestone Potenza RE-11s, then Koni adjustable struts and racing beat front sway bar. In Car Electronics: don't work... one thing it has in common with the rest of the cars. It really doesn't bother me cause I prefer to hear the car anyway, so I probably won't be fixing that anytime soon. Sponsors: None Shoutouts: Brian, who's helped me get this car started in autocross Car Comments
